Sweetness in the Belly

In 1960s Morocco, a young Lilly is raised as a Muslim at a Sufi shrine after being abandoned by her parents. As a nurse's aide in 1970s England, Lilly befriends Amina, a traumatized refugee, and together they work to reunite scattered families. Lilly's own past and a lost love affair with a doctor named Aziz are revealed, adding depth to her mission. The film follows Lilly's journey as she navigates her new life in London.
