To Sir, with Love II

Sidney Poitier reprises his role as Mark Thackeray, a retired teacher who returns to his alma mater in Chicago to teach at an inner-city school. He takes on the most challenging students, including a gang leader and a black female student struggling with prejudice, and sets out to teach them their true potential. With the help of his former colleagues, including a fellow teacher who admires him, Thackeray navigates the complexities of teaching in an inner-city school and confronts his own personal demons in the process. Ultimately, he finds a sense of purpose and belonging with his new students and the community.
