In 19th century Estonia, a mythical village inhabited by personified Black Death, spirits, werewolves, and the Devil itself, a young woman named Liina (Rea Lest-Liik) tries to get a young man, Hans, to love her. Liina is Raak's daughter, arranged to be married to a farmer, but she longs for Hans, who is smitten with a visiting Baroness. Liina, who can transform into a werewolf, uses mystical powers to try and win Hans' love, but her efforts are complicated by the Devil's influence.
