Lillian, a Polish visual artist, plays the role of Lillian, a determined Eastern European immigrant who sets out on a long journey from New York to Alaska, mirroring the true story of Lillian Alling, who attempted a similar return to her homeland in the 1920s. The film follows Lillian's journey through various landscapes and encounters with locals, including a Nebraskan sheriff, as she strives to reach the Bering Strait.
