Manon des sources

Manon des sources follows Manon Cadoret, the daughter of Jean Cadoret, who, ten years after her father's death, seeks revenge on the men who wronged him. She lives in the Provençal countryside near Les Romarins, where she tends to goats and hunts for birds and rabbits. Manon develops an interest in Bernard, a handsome schoolteacher, and becomes involved in the villagers' desperate search for water, which they attribute to a divine punishment. As the story unfolds, Manon's past and her connection to the Soubeyran family come to light, leading to a tragic confrontation with Papet and Ugolin, the men responsible for her father's death.
