Crash

The film follows James Ballard, a film producer played by James Spader, as he survives a car crash and becomes involved with a group of symphorophiliacs who are aroused by car crashes. He tries to rekindle his sexual relationship with his wife, Catherine, who recounts her recent sexual encounter with a stranger. As James becomes more deeply embroiled with the group, led by Vaughan, played by Elias Koteas, he and his wife engage in increasingly provocative and intense sexual encounters, driven by their shared experience of the car crash.
