Autumn Tale follows Magali, a 45-year-old winemaker and widow, as she navigates her loneliness and friendship with her friends Rosine and Isabelle. The two women, each wanting to find Magali a partner, concoct plans to get her dating again. Isabelle finds a suitable match for Magali through a dating service, while Rosine pursues her university professor. As both couples' relationships progress, Magali is inadvertently presented to the men, leading to unexpected connections. Ultimately, Magali and a widower named Gerald form a bond at a wine harvest party, rekindling a sense of romance and companionship in her life.
