La belle et la bête

In 2014, a French remake of the classic fairy tale "Beauty and the Beast" was released, directed by Christophe Gans and starring Léa Seydoux as Belle, a young woman who takes her father's place in the enchanted castle of a hideous creature, played by Vincent Cassel. After her father is accused of stealing from the Beast, Belle must navigate the castle's magic and her own feelings for the Beast, as they work together to break the curse that has turned him into a monster.
