The Ice Storm

In the weekend after Thanksgiving 1973, the Hood family is skidding out of control. Then an ice storm hits, the worst in a century. The Hoods' marriage is on the brink of collapse, with Ben having an affair with Janey Carver, while his wife Elena is also bored and looking to bring excitement back to their lives. Meanwhile, their teenage daughter Wendy enjoys sexual games with the Carver boys, and their son Paul falls for a classmate, Libbets, but struggles with his own desires. As the families navigate their emotional emptiness, a winter storm descends, bringing a sense of numbness and tragedy that ultimately unites them in grief.
