Deddobôru

Deadball is a 2011 Japanese splatter comedy film directed by Yudai Yamaguchi, starring Tak Sakaguchi as Jubeh Yakyu, a 17-year-old baseball prodigy turned juvenile delinquent. After accidentally killing his father with a super-powered fireball pitch, Jubeh agrees to join the prison baseball team, the Pterodactyl Gauntlets, to improve the prison food and get pardoned of his crimes. Characterized by its absurd humor, over-the-top violence, and low-budget special effects, the film premiered at the Fantasia Festival in 2011 and received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its energy and inventive situations.
