I Can Speak is a 2017 South Korean comedy-drama film based on the true story of comfort women directed by Kim Hyun-seok. The film tells the story of Na Ok-Boon, an elderly woman nicknamed "Goblin Granny" for her numerous citizen complaints, who befriends Park Min-Jae, a young civil servant. As they spend time together, Ok-Boon learns English from Min-Jae, which helps her muster the courage to testify against the Japanese Military at a comfort women public hearing in Washington D.C. Starring Na Moon-hee as Ok-Boon and Lee Je-hoon as Min-Jae, the film depicts the resolution of Ok-Boon's conviction for her wartime past.
