Aloys

Aloys is a 2016 Swiss drama film about a lonely private investigator, Aloys Adorn, played by Georg Friedrich, who discovers an imaginary universe through a mysterious woman, Vera, played by Tilde von Overbeck, that allows him to break out of his isolation. Aloys, a cold and distant man who has never taken a personal approach, is contacted by Vera, who steals his video camera and tapes of his subjects. As Aloys tries to unmask Vera, he finds himself drawn to her and eventually, they engage in a series of imaginative "telephone hikes" and virtual interactions. Through this connection, Aloys begins to overcome his fears and confront his inner isolation.
