The Rising Hawk

During the 13th century, Zakhar Berkut, played by Robert Patrick, leads a group of high-landers in the Carpathian Mountains in a village of Tukhlia against Mongolian invaders led by Burunda Khan. Zakhar's wife, Rada, and their sons, Ivan and Maksym, played by Rocky Myers and Alex MacNicoll respectively, join forces with a wealthy boyar, Tugar Vovk, to defend their village against the invading forces. As the war breaks out, Maksym and his love interest, Myroslava, played by Poppy Drayton, must choose between fleeing or making the ultimate sacrifice to save their people.
