Flirting with Disaster

Mel Colpin, played by Ben Stiller, is a young father who sets out on a cross-country road trip with his wife Nancy and an inept yet gorgeous adoption agent, Tina, to find his biological parents. Along the way, they encounter a series of mistaken identities, wrong turns, and overzealous ATF agents, including Tony and Nancy, who are in a relationship. The trip leads to a series of chaotic events, including a crash with a truck, a run-in with Mel's biological brother, and a family reunion with the Schlichting family, including Mel's biological parents, Richard and Mary, who had to give Mel up for adoption due to their past involvement in LSD manufacturing.
