Le corbeau

In a small French town, anonymous poison pen letters are sent by someone signing as "Le Corbeau" (the Raven), accusing doctor Rémy Germain of having an affair and performing illegal abortions. The letters, which start with Germain being accused of having an affair with Laura Vorzet, the pretty young wife of the elderly psychiatrist Dr. Vorzet, become increasingly serious as they accuse Germain of having an illicit relationship with Denise, a patient of the hospital. Germain is eventually called away to attend Denise, but before he leaves, Laura protests that she wrote the Raven's first letter, making Germain the true Raven. The situation escalates into violence and chaos, leading to the death of Dr. Vorzet.
