A Cinderella Story

Samantha "Sam" Montgomery (Hilary Duff) is a 17-year-old high school student who meets her online pen pal "Nomad" (Chad Michael Murray), aka popular quarterback Austin Ames, at the school's Halloween dance. Austin has broken up with his girlfriend Shelby, but she's in denial, and Sam confides in her in a disguise as "Cinderella." The two share a romantic dance, and Austin seeks to uncover Sam's identity, leading to a series of events that expose the truth about Sam's family and her own empowerment.
