Last Embrace

Last Embrace is a 1979 American neo-noir romantic thriller film directed by Jonathan Demme, starring Roy Scheider as Harry Hannan, a secret agent who suffers a mental breakdown after his wife's death and teams up with college student Ellie Fabian to unravel a mysterious threat written in Hebrew. The investigation leads them to discover that Ellie is the one behind a series of murders targeting descendants of Zwi Migdal, a group responsible for enslaving her grandmother.
