Set during the Prohibition era in the Appalachian countryside of Southwest Virginia, "Lawless" tells the true story of the violent conflict between three bootlegging brothers: Forrest, Howard, and Jack Bondurant — and a corrupt lawman, Charlie Rakes, who tries to shut down their illegal moonshine operation. The film focuses on the brothers' struggle for survival as they navigate the treacherous world of organized crime, corruption, and brutality. As tensions escalate, the brothers find themselves in a deadly shootout with Rakes, which ends in a violent confrontation that will leave only one brother standing.
