Cook Off

In "Cook Off," single mother Anesu (Tendaiishe Chitima) is secretly entered into a reality television cooking competition by her son, where she must overcome disapproval from her mother and rival professional chefs. She also finds love during the competition, amidst a backdrop of Zimbabwean middle-class society. The film, written and directed by Tomas Brickhill, became a milestone in the Zimbabwean film industry after its release in 2017.
