The Cool and the Crazy

The Cool and the Crazy tells the story of Ben Saul, a reform school graduate who transfers to a Kansas City high school, where he befriends a local gang of tough guys and becomes their frontman for a local marijuana ring. As Ben's popularity grows, so does the attention from the local police detective, Det. Lt. Sloan. The film's dramatic finale features a fiery car wreck, and an obligatory moralizing segment, warning teenagers about the dangers of marijuana.
