Kyoko Okudera (Mimura), a kindergarten teacher, is invited to dinner by her friend Madoka Uchiyama, where Kyoko's boyfriend Naoto Sakurai (Yū Yoshizawa) works part-time. The chef, Wang Jianfeng (Hakobu Okubo), intercepts a cursed phone call from his daughter's phone, redirecting the curse towards him. After a series of strange and deadly events, Kyoko and Naoto join journalist Takako Nozoe (Asaka Seto) in investigating the source of the curse, which seems to originate from an abandoned coal mining town.
