In a world on the brink of apocalypse, a group of strangers finds themselves trapped in an isolated desert diner as the Archangel Michael descends to Earth to bring about the end of humanity. As the possessed descend upon them, Michael reveals that God has lost faith in mankind and has sent His angels to destroy the human race, but he defies orders to spare Charlie's unborn child, who becomes the unlikely savior of humanity. With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, Michael must fight to protect Charlie and her baby as they embark on a perilous journey to find the prophets and learn to read the instructions that will save them from destruction.
