Big Night

Big Night is a 1996 American comedy-drama film set in the 1950s on the Jersey Shore, where two Italian immigrant brothers, Primo (Tony Shalhoub) and Secondo (Stanley Tucci), host an evening of free food at their struggling restaurant in an effort to gain exposure. The brothers' restaurant is struggling to gain success, despite Primo's brilliant cooking and Secondo's business acumen. The film follows their efforts to attract the patronage of popular Italian-American singer Louis Prima, with mixed results. As the night wears on, the brothers' relationships and ambitions are put to the test in a heart-wrenching and ultimately redemptive finale.
