From Hell It Came

Tod Andrews (Dr. William Arnold) and Gregg Palmer (Kimo) star in a story by Richard Bernstein and Jack Milner, about a South Seas island prince accused of murder, who returns as a walking tree stump with a thirst for revenge. After his execution, Kimo is buried in a hollow tree trunk, but is resurrected and escapes from a laboratory, wreaking havoc on the island and its inhabitants. The scientist Dr. Terry Mason, played by Tina Carver, tries to stop the vengeful tree-monster, known as a Tabanga, while also dealing with personal conflicts and the true culprits behind Kimo's murder.
