Ghosts of Mississippi

Ghosts of Mississippi tells the story of a Mississippi district attorney and the widow of Medgar Evers, who struggle to bring a white supremacist to justice for the 1963 murder of the civil rights leader. Characterized by the determination of its lead actors, Alec Baldwin as Bobby DeLaughter and Whoopi Goldberg as Myrlie Evers, the film follows their efforts to secure a new trial for Byron De La Beckwith, a man accused of the assassination. With the help of an investigator named Delmar Dennis, who had previously testified against the Ku Klux Klan, the team uncovers new evidence that ultimately leads to De La Beckwith's conviction and sentencing to life imprisonment.
