American Woman

In the 2019 drama film "American Woman," Hong Chau plays Jenny, a political activist who agrees to care for a group of America's most wanted fugitives, including the recently radicalized heiress Pauline, played by Sarah Gadon. Based on the 2003 novel of the same title by Susan Choi, the film tells the fictional story of Wendy Yoshimura, who cared for Patty Hearst after she was abducted. The film had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival and went on to receive several awards, including Best Picture and Best Director at the Downtown Los Angeles Film Festival.
