Cold Souls

Paul Giamatti stars as himself, an anxious actor struggling to disassociate himself from his characters, when he discovers a procedure to extract his soul, which comes out as a chickpea. He decides to keep it stored and returns to his life with 5% of his soul remaining, but soon finds himself overwhelmed and disconnected from his loved ones and his craft. After obtaining the soul of a Russian poet, he is able to play Uncle Vanya excellently, but eventually enlists the help of a Russian soul mule, Nina, to retrieve his stolen soul, which is eventually returned to him.
