A Little Game

A 10-year-old girl, Max Kuftinec, is ostracized at her posh new uptown school and shaken by the death of her beloved grandmother. She finds an unlikely mentor in Norman Wallach, a retired chess master who teaches her about resilience, perseverance, and embracing change through the game of chess, with Ralph Macchio as her father Tom Kuftinec, who is initially supportive but also concerned about Max's new school experience.
