King Creole

Danny Fisher, a high school student struggling to graduate, finds himself in the wrong crowd in New Orleans' French Quarter, where he falls for Ronnie, a nightclub floozy, and gets mixed up with the local crime boss Maxie Fields, aka "The Pig." Danny's talent as a singer impresses Maxie, who offers him a job at the King Creole club, but Danny declines, leading to a confrontation between Danny, Maxie, and Ronnie's boyfriend. The film follows Danny's journey as he tries to stay true to himself and his values amidst the corrupt and crime-ridden world of New Orleans' nightlife.
