The Girl with No Number

Phuong Ly, a poor, beautiful Vietnamese woman, falls in love with an attractive, kind and wealthy man, but her life takes a drastic turn when her boyfriend's mother sabotages their relationship. Heartbroken, Phuong Ly travels to Ho Chi Minh City to work at a marriage agency, where she meets Mitch, one of the men seeking an arranged marriage. He coaxes her to marry him with promises of support and a better life, but upon arrival in America, Phuong Ly realizes she's been brought as a slave, subjected to abuse with no escape. In this desperate situation, she finds solace in the bond she develops with the American's young, autistic niece, who also feels trapped.
