Breakfast on Pluto

In 1958, Eily Bergin leaves her newborn baby, Patrick Braden, on the doorstep of the local parochial house, where the baby's father, Father Liam, lives. Patrick grows up, dons a dress and lipstick, and is accepted by his friends as a young woman named Patricia "Kitten" Braden. As Kitten, she navigates 1970s London, searching for her long-lost mother, Eily, and facing various challenges, including poverty, exploitation, and the Troubles. Along the way, she encounters a cast of characters, including a glam rock band, a male magician, and an English soldier, who help shape her journey and ultimately lead her to her mother.
