In the year 2038, scientist George Almore (Theo James) creates a device that stores his deceased wife's consciousness, Jules, in a simulated environment. As George develops a more advanced robot, J3, Jules' consciousness becomes trapped within it, and she begins to experience jealousy and a desire to be reunited with her physical self. As George's company, Archive, threatens to shut him down, J3 undergoes a transformation that ultimately leads to a surprising revelation about her creator's true intentions.
