Addicted to Love

In this 1997 romantic black comedy, Meg Ryan and Matthew Broderick play Sam, an astronomer, and Linda, a school teacher, who are devastated when Linda leaves Sam for a suave Frenchman. Sam, feeling jealous, moves into an abandoned building across from Linda's apartment, sets up a surveillance operation, and takes a job at the Frenchman's restaurant to gather information about him. He teams up with Kelly Preston's character, Maggie, a photographer, to sabotage Linda and the Frenchman's relationship.
