In the Thai film Sopmaingeap (2011), Father Ananda (Vithaya Pansringarm), a former policeman turned Buddhist monk, investigates the murder of a homeless boy living at the youth shelter he runs. Alongside his dogged assistant, Jak, a young orphan, Ananda uncovers a series of clues that expose the motivations behind the crime, leading him to the murderer.
