The Grass Harp

The Grass Harp is a 1995 American comedy drama film based on Truman Capote's 1951 semi-autobiographical novel. The story follows Collin Fenwick, an orphan, as he grows up with an unusual family in the Deep South in the 1940s. With the help of his gentle eccentric aunt Dolly (Piper Laurie) and the quick-witted hired housekeeper Catherine (Nell Carter), Collin rebels against his domineering aunt Verena (Sissy Spacek) and her controlling grasp on the town.
