The Incident

In 1944, Lincoln Bluff, a small Colorado town, is still reeling from World War II when a doctor is murdered at local US Army Camp Bremen, which holds German prisoners of war. Harmon Cobb, a local lawyer, is coerced into defending Sergeant Wilhelm Geiger, the German prisoner accused of killing the doctor, despite his personal anti-German sentiment. With the help of Officer Joe Wallace, Cobb digs deeper into the camp's illicit operations and uncovers evidence of the Lager Gestapo's terrorization and murder of POWs. As the trial unfolds, Cobb must navigate the complexities of wartime politics and ethics to expose the truth and secure Geiger's acquittal.
