Blood Vessel

In late 1945, a life raft is adrift in the North Atlantic, carrying the survivors of a hospital ship that was hit by a German torpedo and sunk. The survivors - American cook Bigelow, American mechanic Jackson, British nurse Jane Prescott, British codebreaker Gerard Faraday, Australian soldier Sinclair, Russian sniper Alexander Teplov, and Malone, the American captain of the hospital ship - have been adrift for days and have run out of food when suddenly a Nazi minesweeper drifts by. As they board the passing ship, they discover a young girl named Mya, who leads them to a locked room in the bowels of the vessel. There, they encounter a malevolent presence that awakens Mya, who is revealed to be a Strigoi, a type of vampire from fairytale creatures. The group soon realizes that Mya is not alone, and that there is a Patriarch who controls the Strigoi, including the female Matriarch. As the survivors try to escape, they are hunted by the Strigoi, who possess the minds of others and can shape-shift. In the end, only two survivors, Jane and Sinclair, remain, but their fate is intertwined with the Strigoi's curse.
