Surviving Picasso

The film tells the story of Françoise Gilot, the only lover of Pablo Picasso who was strong enough to withstand his ferocity and move on with her life. Françoise, played by Natascha McElhone, meets Picasso in Nazi-occupied Paris and becomes a painter against her father's wishes, eventually moving in with him and having two children. Despite their tumultuous relationship, the couple's problems persist, including Picasso's infidelity and selfish behavior, which ultimately lead to Françoise leaving him.
