Beyond the Blackboard

A young teacher, played by Emily VanCamp as Stacey Bess, is given a challenging task in 1987 Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she teaches homeless children at a makeshift school with no name. With the support of her husband, played by Steve Talley as Greg Bess, she overcomes personal prejudices and overcomes logistical hurdles to provide education to these deserving children.
