Tepper (Erik Palladino) is set to propose to his girlfriend Carla when his life is turned upside down by a $6 million lottery winning ticket he finds in a wallet. A stormy night is filled with a weekly poker game with friends Quigley (Ryan Reynolds), Bolan (Dash Mihok), and Fishman (Matthew Lillard), where everyone contributes a lottery ticket to the pot. Avery Phillips (James Earl Jones), the wallet's owner, arrives unexpectedly and Avery, a retired firefighter and bus driver, joins the game, leading to a tense and unexpected confrontation.
