One Night with the King

Hadassah, a Jewish orphan, disguises her origins to gain favor with King Xerxes of Persia, who holds a feast to choose a new queen. She and her friend Jesse witness the king summoning Queen Vashti, and Hadassah is taken in by the king's royal eunuch, Hegai, where she gains his favor through her intelligence and integrity. She reads to the king, captivating him with a love story from the Old Testament, and he chooses her as his new queen.
