The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things

"The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things" tells the story of Sarah, a drug addict, and her young son Jeremiah, whose life becomes chaotic when Sarah gives him drugs and abandons him with a series of abusive men. Salvation comes in the form of Jeremiah's ultrareligious grandparents, but Sarah's desperate lifestyle eventually consumes her. The film follows their tumultuous relationship and Jeremiah's struggles to cope with his mother's addiction and abuse.
