An Alan Smithee Film: Burn Hollywood Burn

Eric Idle plays Alan Smithee, a director who steals the negatives to his latest film and goes on the run, pursued by producers and stars, including James Edmunds (Ryan O'Neal) and Sylvester Stallone (himself). As Smithee's situation becomes increasingly desperate, he turns to the Brothers (Chuck D and Coolio) and a friend, Stagger Lee, for help, eventually burning the film at the La Brea Tar Pits. In the end, Smithee emerges as a hero to the public, and he finds a new film deal, Duo, directed by the Brothers.
