Equus

A psychiatrist, Martin Dysart, investigates the savage blinding of six horses with a metal spike in a stable in Hampshire, England. Played by Richard Burton as Martin Dysart, the investigation leads him to a 17-year-old stable boy named Alan Strang, who has replaced his deity with a god he calls Equus, incarnated in horses. As Dysart exposes the truths behind the boy's demons, he finds himself face-to-face with his own, including his own troubled past and a possible parallel with Alan's.
