Howard is a 2018 American documentary film written and directed by Don Hahn about the life of songwriter Howard Ashman. The film documents Ashman's life, using rare archival footage and interviews with his family, friends, associates, and longtime partner Bill Lauch. The documentary uses a unique presentation style, similar to Hahn's previous film Waking Sleeping Beauty, with audio interviews presented as "speech bubbles." Alan Menken composed the score for the film, which received positive reviews from critics, with many praising the documentary as a touching tribute to Ashman's life and legacy.
