Chicago Heights

The film "Chicago Heights" (2009) follows Nathan Walker (Andre Truss) as he comes of age, observing the lives of his neighbors in his Chicago Heights community, each with their own dark secrets and human struggles. An experimental, non-linear adaptation of Sherwood Anderson's short story cycle Winesburg, Ohio, the film captures the essence of the book in a feature-length film, with Nathan's reflection on his own life and relationships with his mother (Keisha Dyson) and others, including a pastor (Jay DeVon Johnson) and a psychologist (Benny Stewart).
