Andy Duckerman (Adam Devine), a down-on-his-luck former magician, returns to the Magic Camp of his youth to reignite his career. He finds inspiration in his ragtag bunch of rookie magicians, including 12-year-old Theo Moses (Nathaniel McIntyre), who is coping with the death of his father. With the help of his former mentor and camp owner Roy Preston (Jeffrey Tambor), Andy helps the Hearts cabin discover their hidden talents and eventually beats his rival, Kristina Darkwood (Gillian Jacobs), in the Top Hat competition.
