Eun-hee, a quiet 14-year-old from a working-class background, navigates the challenges of adolescence in 1990s Seoul. As she prepares to enter high school, she faces issues with her family, particularly her abusive brother and overbearing father, but finds solace in her friendships with Ji-suk and her growing romance with Ji-wan. Her life is further complicated by her blossoming relationship with Yu-ri, a fellow student who has a crush on her, and the support of her free-spirited Chinese teacher, Ms. Kim. Ultimately, the collapse of the Seongsu Bridge serves as a catalyst for Eun-hee's growth and acceptance of her circumstances.
