Emperor

"Emperor" is a 2020 American historical drama film that follows the true story of Shields Green, a former slave nicknamed "Emperor", who escapes to freedom and joins abolitionist John Brown's raid on Harpers Ferry. Shields Green, played by Dayo Okeniyi, travels north and meets Frederick Douglass and John Brown, played by James Cromwell, as he seeks to fight for the end of slavery. Along the way, he must evade capture and confront the harsh realities of his past.
