Search and Destroy

A self-help guru's televised teachings inspire a down-and-out businessman, Martin Mirkheim (Griffin Dunne), to pursue his dream of making a movie. Martin, a complete failure, sets out to meet with Dr. Luther Waxling (Dennis Hopper), a popular TV guru, to get hold of the rights and revenue to turn his life around. Instead, he sleeps with Dr. Waxling's screenwriter-assistant, Marie (Illeana Douglas), and gets involved with wealthy Kim Ulander (Christopher Walken), an enigmatic businessman with quirky tendencies.
